New Lush Haircare*

New Lush Haircare - Sweetaholic Beauty

A very exciting package turned up at my doorstep earlier this week containing a few of the new hair care products from Lush Cosmetics. I absolutely love Lush Cosmetics products, and am constantly using them and trying them out. I've had huge success with Lush Cosmetics' shampoo Big - so when I received these new products to try out, I could hardly wait.

I got four products in total; a shampoo, a conditioner, a hair dressing and a hair mist. After sharing the above image on social media, I had a few questions surrounding the hair dressing - so we'll start with that one.

From what I can tell, Mr Dandy's Hair Candy Hair Dressing is a bit of a multi-tasker. I feel like it's a mix of leave-in conditioner and styling gel. The packaging is a bit vague about it, but essentially says you can use a little bit to help style your hair or a lot - to also help style your hair. It can be used on wet hair, dry hair or right before blow drying, but make sure to use it on the cold setting for some terrifying unknown reason. I was surprised at how lightweight this felt in my wet hair when I applied, and after drying my hair, I felt it definitely gave me an increase of volume. I think I may have used a tad too much though as my hair needed washing again the next day. I'm still on the fence with this one but I'll be trying this more and see how I go.

When I sniffed the Jersey Bounce Shampoo, I was hoping for a delicious caramel scent. I was instead met with an intriguing mix of honey and salt, which gave it a bit of a sweet scent but not exactly as pleasant as caramel. This shampoo contains olive oil as well and was fairly gloopy to use. I felt like I needed a good handful of it, but didn't need to shampoo twice. I actually loved how this made my hair feel after washing and I'll continue using it.

I love a good hair mist. I particularly love salt sprays, so when I tried out the Sea Spray Hair Mist, I had high expectations. This one also has a lightweight gel incorporated into the formula to help keep your awesome beach waves, rather than have them fall flat always straight away. (Sadly like some of the other hair mists I've tried.) I loved this spray when I used it - although would recommend a light touch as too much gel is never a good thing. The scent is also really lovely, but can be a bit strong for those who don't like fruity/floral scents.

I have actually tried solid conditioner from Lush Cosmetics before, but had no luck, so when I tried out The Plumps I didn't have high hopes. I feel a tad awkward rubbing this in my hands hoping for a lather, but once I got a bit of product going, it went right into my hair nicely. Unlike my previous experience with solid conditioner, I felt like this one - dare I say - actually conditioned my hair. I was actually pretty pleased with how my hair turned out using this and the Jersey Bounce shampoo

I think we have some real winners with the new Lush Cosmetics hair products. I particularly love the shampoo, which I think is my favourite product out of the four I tried. I know there are a few other newer products on the market, so I might have to head out and try those too!

Have you tried any of the new Lush Cosmetics hair products? If so, what are your thoughts?
