BUA x Lush Birthday Bash Haul

BUA x Lush Birthday Bash Haul - Sweetaholic Beauty

For those of you who don't know, Nikita and I run Bloggers United AU and manage a fabulous Australia wide team. We have recently hit our two year anniversary - we are beyond proud and so grateful to the blogging community within Australia that has helped us be so successful.

To celebrate our first birthday last year, we hosted a series of Lush parties for a few members of our community and they went off with a bang. This year, we were incredibly fortunate enough to be able to host our second birthday parties with Lush again.

The first party for this year took place last weekend at the Swanston Street store in Melbourne. This store has recently been revamped and looks absolutely amazing. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and just downright beautiful. We learnt how Lush makes their fresh face masks, we played a few games and we had some delicious little treats to eat. Lush also surprised us with a take home goody bag full of exciting goodies, which I'm about to show you now.

I didn't take many photos on the night but we did have a photographer there, so once we receive the photos I will share a few.

We got four tubs of products and a sample size product. The products we received were varied in the bag, but I got Dream Cream and Ro's Argan Body Conditioner; as well as the two face masks we made fresh in store - Cupcake and Catastrophe Cosmetic. The sample sized product was the beautiful Ultrabland cleanser.

I've used all of these products except Catastrophe Cosmetic, so I was pretty excited to see some favourites included.

The two face masks were created fresh in store. This was so exciting to watch - even though I saw it last year - I am aways interested. I have tried Cupcake before. This one smells like delicious chocolate cake batter and looks good enough to eat. But, believe me, the taste is not something you will enjoy. Catastrophe Cosmetic is made up of blueberries and is supposed to great for calming the skin. I found this one actually smelt very sweet like a  blueberry pie or something - but it is another mask I would not recommend eating.

Look at those fresh ingredients! I tried Catastrophe Cosmetic the night I got home from the event and fell in love. There was something therapeutic about smearing cold blueberry bits on my face that smelt good enough to eat. Needless to say, I did go out and buy some blueberries today... I may have had a craving.

Lastly, Lush also allowed us to choose one item to take home with us, free of charge. With the entire store at my disposal, I went for one of the newer products. I've been eyeing off the Guardians of the Forest bath bomb on the UK website for a little while, so I was super excited to see it hit Aussie stores. The staff member was shocked I was picking up something so inexpensive but seeing as though my partner bought me a huge amount of Lush for my birthday, I didn't really need anything else!

Overall, I'm super impressed by all the goodies we received and feeling so, so grateful at how generous Lush have been. Not only are they wonderful to work with, they also have fantastic ethics and are just a fabulous company as a whole.

A huge thank you to Lush Cosmetics for making our special day even better, and of course a huge thank you to our beautiful community for helping us get there.

Did you go to the Melbourne BUA x Lush Birthday Bash? If so, did you have fun? Have you ever been to a BUA event?
