L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks Review

L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

I've been seeing so much buzz about the L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks so of course, I had to go out and grab them. It took me a while to find all three - particularly the charcoal variety - but now that I have all three, I decided I would share my thoughts.

There are three varieties; Charcoal, Red Algae and Eucalyptus. I was firstly interested in the Eucalyptus one, which sounded cooling and calming for the skin. Each mask has a different speciality and has a different scent and consistency.

The packaging is pretty gorgeous, and I can see it being a driving factor in buying it. Although it's only a 50ml glass tub, I still feel like you would get a lot of uses out of each tub.

The Charcoal mask; which detoxifies and brightens, is probably the most popular of the three. I've seen a lot of love for this one on social media. To start with, this one probably had the strongest scent. Nothing that I would describe as bad, but definitely strong. This one is definitely a great one to use if you're oily and looking to draw out blackheads.

The Red Algae mask; which exfoliates and smoothes, is definitely my favourite of the three. Whilst "red algae" does not sound as appealing as the other two, it's definitely worked the best for me. It's a little bit gritty and doesn't smell like anything really. My skin feels so soft and smooth after washing it off.

Lastly, the Eucalyptus mask; which purifies and mattifies. This was the first one I purchased and I find it's a fantastic mask to use when my skin is feeling a bit red and angry. This helps sooth my skin and reduce oil. This one smells really pleasant, actually.

Charcoal, Red Algae & Eucalyptus

As you can see, they are rather thick in consistency but all a bit different. I think that the Charcoal is the thickest of the three whilst still remaining relatively wet. The Red Algae is dryer but still thick, while the Eucalyptus was a bit more watery.

Gotta love a good #Instadetox shot!

While multi-masking is a lot of fun, it's also a bit of a pain in the butt. My skin is very consistent and doesn't need a lot of different attention, so I'll stick to regular masking on most days unless I'm feeling a specific need to multi-mask.

Overall, I'm a fan of these beautiful masks. I have tried a lot of face masks in my time as a beauty blogger - I rarely dislike masks. I feel that if you're after something heavy duty then I would be investing in something else, but if you're looking for a regular weekly mask to help keep your skin in check, then this could be the one for you.

Have you tried the L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks? If so, what are your thoughts? What are your thoughts on multi-masking?
