First Quarter Empties 2017

First Quarter Empties 2017 - Sweetaholic Beauty

It's so hard to believe we've already finished off three months of 2017. It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and New Years. So much has happened in the first quarter of 2017 - including getting a brand new job. It's taken a bit of a toll on the blogging side of things, but now that I've got into my groove, I can get back on track.

I've also used up a tonne load of products this quarter. I couldn't believe how much stuff I'd finished off, it seems like so much more than a regular three months worth.

Look at all that trash! Honestly, it was so frustrating storing three months worth of empty products purely for space. I usually kept my empties in a small box but this time I had to upsize. Oops. Let's take a closer look at everything I used up, though.

First Quarter Empties 2017 - Sweetaholic Beauty

I found that I used up three entire packs of makeup pads - two packs from Woolworths and one pack from Swisspers. Thankfully they're cheap! Since it was over the summer period, I only used three Lush bath bombs - Shoot for the Stars, Sakura and Yoga Bomb. I did also use up the Love You, Love You Lots soap* and The Plumps*; a solid hair conditioner. A few of the Lush products were not in packaging but they were definitely worth a mention.

A few regulars were used up in this quarter as well, which is not really a surprise. Of course the Original Source Mint and Tea Tree Shower Gel which is a staple in our shower. I fell head over heels in love with the Lush Karma Shower Gel. I have a horrible feeling this was a limited edition shower gel, but I have a few other Lush ones to get through.

Of course my regular L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo, of which I used up two bottles. I'm almost at the end of the conditioner bottle. I also dyed my hair and I used the John Frieda Precision Foam Colour conditioner in a mini size.

For skincare, I had to say goodbye to a few of my favourites. I had been using the For Beloved One Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Surge Cream* for ages, and it was doing wonders for my skin. In conjunction, I had been using The Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate* which was amazing. This is the older packaging but I'll definitely be investing in this again.

I was sad to see the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Combination to Oily Skin* go because this was so lovely on my skin. I do have a few others to try out though but this one was great. My favourite face cleanser was also finished off this quarter; the Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. I wrote a full blog post about it here because it was just so fab. I also finished off the Swisse Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner; which was lovely but not the best toner I've used in my lifetime.

I was impressed by the amount of makeup I actually used up this quarter. Believe it or not but I finished off two pressed powders - only because I was reluctant to buy another one while I still had an almost empty one - the Maybelline Matte Maker which is my go-to and the Rimmel London Stay Matte which is my second choice. Have since repurchased both of them. In foundations, I finished off the L'Orel Nude Magique Cushion foundation which I was technically using as a tinted primer because it made my foundation stay on so well. My HG foundation, the L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte sadly said goodbye also. Thankfully I had a backup already lined up.

I threw away two mascaras; the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves* which was sadly not the best and the Too Faced Better Than Sex mini mascara, which is the best. Luckily I have a full-size version. I was sad to see the end of the Mirenesse Sexy Secret Eye Primer mini. This lasted me so long, and it was actually such a great eye primer. Lastly, I finished off a whole bottle of Maybelline Master Fix spray. This stuff is the best stuff, and I already have another bottle lined up.

During the warmer months, I opted for the Dove Original Anti-Perspirant spray. This stuff is the absolute best in the summer time. Because of the heat, I also used up the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water which is the best for hot weather. Another product I've had in my bathroom for ages is the BX Earth Hand Care Wash in Mandarin and Lemon. I'm going to miss this one because it smelt amazing.
I also decided it was time to switch over my Clarisonic* head because it was getting a bit yucky. I was using the original, which worked perfectly for me.

Lastly, I used up two big candles. I'm so sad to see both of them go as they were both awesome. The Glasshouse Triple Scented Candle in Sistine Chapel is a must have and I'll definitely be getting this one again sometime in the future. The Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Antistress candle was so nice and it lasted forever. I went in to buy another one but they were sold out - so I will have to try again another time.
