John Frieda Luxurious Volume: Anytime Volume Refresher

Just a short post today, but I really wanted to share with you this miracle product that I've recently discovered!
I purchased the John Frieda Luxurious Volume: Anytime Volume Refresher dry shampoo a little while ago to get the Free Hair Care bag from Priceline, and I'm so, so glad that I did!

I was really looking for something that would add volume to my hair (did not even realise this was a dry shampoo until I brought it home and read it properly!) with the ease of spraying in place of the messiness of mousse.

I had never tried John Frieda before but I'd heard amazing things, so I figured I'd give him a go! It wasn't very expensive at only $13.59 down from $15.99. (Which is already a pretty good price.)

To put things into a bit of perspective, if you haven't seen my hair in any of my previous posts, my hair is pretty darn long! It gets very oily, very quickly, and I have to wash it every second day. Horrible, it truly is! It's a living hell!
I've never had much faith in dry shampoo before because they never usually work for me, so I stopped trying.
I was due for a hair wash today, but I thought to myself: hey, why not try that new dry shampoo I got! It may just save me having to wash my hair today! (I was just NOT in the mood for it! I have washed my hair every second day for at least the last three years... so you get my point.)

The bottle says to spray in bits and pieces, staring from the bottom and bunching up your hair to work the product in. I followed, and let me tell you, this worked on my disgustingly oily hair (so oily it was practically DRIPPING! Okay maybe not that oily, but you get the idea!) so well that I almost fainted! Not only did it eliminate any oily spots, it also did just as it promised, volumised!

Over all I was extremely impressed with this, and I'll be buying again and again and again, and I'll never stop buying this! It killed the oil perfectly, made my hair amazingly voluptuous and did not dry out my hair too horribly!

So have you tried John Frieda, and are you a fan? Or do you have another dry shampoo product that you simply can't live without?

  3. Awesome review! I too have oily hair and have to wash it every second day or if I'm lucky it'll last three days with the help of dry shampoo ( I use Tresemme right now and it works okay) but the John Frieda one sounds better x!

  4. I've been needing a something to liven up my hair mid week for a while now, which led me to your post. This sounds really good, just what I need. I might have to pop to Boots now and check John Frieda out now. Thanks! x
