You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks*

You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

A little while ago, I was offered the chance to try out two shades from the You by Sia Luxurious Mineral Lipstick range. I hadn't actually heard of this brand before now, so I was pretty intrigued to try these lippies out.

I recieved two shades; Juicy Joelle and Jazzi Jackie.

I really liked the packaging on these ones. It has a nice deep purple tube and a very subtle silver design. This gives the lipsticks a nice chic look. The colours themselves are very pretty, and definitely shades I would have picked for myself. According to You by Sia, they released 11 different shades in this range.

The lipsticks are enriched with royal jelly, coconut oil and vitamin E. They are also free from parabens, artificial fragrances and chemical preservatives; which makes these suitable for all skin types and those who may be sensitive to certain cosmetics. Underneath the actual lipstick is also a little removal gloss pot (which I actually did not realise until I was writing up this post) which is super cool!

As you can see, the shades are very pretty. They are slightly shimmery, so if you're looking for something with a matte finish, you might want to look elsewhere. This is a few coats of the lipstick, as it does originally go on fairly sheer, but is incredibly buildable.

I found that these mineral lipsticks apply a lot like a lip balm. They are super moisturising, and don't even feel like you're wearing a lipstick. That being said, because they are a lot like tinted lip balm, they do have a tendency to show dry patches. As you can probably see on my lips, I have a few dry patches that need attending to!

Aside from that, however, I found that these mineral lipsticks were gorgeous. They felt very natural to wear, were easy to apply and look great on. The colours are very buildable, so you can go for a sheer look, or a more dramatic look depending on your mood. As the are a lot like a balm, I found longevity is not one of their strong suits. But, the fact that it's so easy to apply it doesn't bother me at all.

Overall I was super impressed with the You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks. I would definitely be interested in checking out the shades, and will be more than likely buying some more to add to my ever growing collection!

Have you tried the You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks yet? If so, what are your thoughts? What do you think of these kind of lipsticks?
