Coffee Addiction: Favourite Coffee Based Products

Coffee Addiction: Favourite Coffee Based Products - Sweetaholic Beauty

When I was younger, and when I say younger I mean in my early twenties, I did not really like coffee at all. I hated the taste and the smell. But as I matured, so did my tastes, and now it's safe to say I love coffee. Sadly I don't find that the caffeine wakes me up as well as it does for other people, however I've grown to love the taste and smell of a good coffee. What I've also grown to love is products containing coffee - especially coffee scrubs. I've tried a fair few, but I wanted to share some of my favourite coffee based products.

I have three coffee products in my current rotation and I've been loving them. Two are body scrubs, and one is a face and body mask - but it's also a bit scrubby too.

Frankie & Lou Coffee and Orange Scrub*

The name says it all - this one is coffee and orange all mixed in and is actually rather unique smelling. It has entire chunks of orange inside, which is great to show how organic it is. This is rather scrubby, but still rather gentle as the coffee is very fine. I find that this one really leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth.

Lush Cup O' Coffee Face and Body Mask
This is a new addition to my collection but has quickly become a household favourite. I noticed right away this is not like their other masks and does not need to be popped in the fridge - which is great for me. This is a very wet mask, and doesn't exactly dry hard. It contains lots of coffee, which makes it smell amazing. It's also a bit chunky, and so as you rub this into your skin you're also exfoliating as you go.

NKD Coffee Scrub

I've been a huge fan of the NKD Mint Scrub since I tried it out a while ago. At the time I also purchased the coffee scrub, which I've just opened not too long ago. This is drier than the other two products, and more crumbly. Even though the coffee is much finer than any of the others, I find this to be the scrubbiest one yet. This really helps get rid of those dead skin cells and keeps my skin looking fresh and feeling soft.

Frankie & Lou, Lush, NKD

As you can see, Frankie and Lou and NKD are very dry in comparison to the Lush, which is definitely the wettest product out of all of them.

Have you tried any of the above coffee based products? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you have a favourite coffee product I haven't mentioned?

  2. I'm a bit the same - I always liked the smell of coffee but I never drank it regularly until my late 20s. Still not a massive drinker of it now but a small to medium one a day usually does me. These scrubs sound amazing, particularly intrigued by the coffee and orange one!

  3. I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't like coffee scrubs. I find them so messy. I much prefer salt or sugar scrubs.
