Ulta 3 Lip Paints *

L2

I'm a big fan of Aussie makeup, so when Ulta 3 decided to extend it's makeup range, I got pretty excited! When I was offered the chance to review the new Ulta 3 Lip Paints, I couldn't pass it up! I was planning on picking up a few anyway, but they beat me to it!

Ulta 3 has released six gorgeous shades in their newest lip paint range. For those of you keeping count at home, this range is pretty darn similar to a few other products on the market. (I won't name names, but if you've been following my blog for a while you'll know what I'm talking about!)

The shades included in this range are Manic Mauve, Expressive Fuchsia, Extreme Pink, Radical Red, Loud Purple and Eclectic Orange. I feel like there is a good selection of colours in this collection, and most of them are a bit more wearable than similar products on the market!

Manic Mauve, Expressive Fuchsia, Extreme Pink, Radical Red, Loud Purple and Eclectic Orange.

The first thing I noticed about these products, even when I first swatched them, was that these do not dry matte. Matte is the "thing" at the moment, which is absolutely fine, but it's actually pretty refreshing to fins some gorgeous bright lip colours that don't dry matte. The scent is fairly minty, but nothing too drastic.

When I applied the lip paints, I was really impressed at how moisturising they were on the lips. Not only did they not point out all my dry patches, they actually hid them! I was also really happy with the pigmentation. First application was a tad sheer for the brighter colours, which I found to be perfect. If you're not too confident in wearing purple, this is a great way to experiment. The above swatch is two coats, and even then it's a really wearable shade.

In terms of longevity, I was pretty happy. Yes, they did transfer as they are primarily a gloss, but they also stained the lips which meant that once the gloss factor faded, you were still left with a lovely colour on the lips. If you're wanting to keep the pigmentation, I would still recommend reapplying after food and drinks.

Overall, I actually really like these Ulta 3 Lip Paints. My absolute favourite colour is Manic Mauve, as it's just so gosh darn wearable! My sister's favourite shade is Extreme Pink, as she loves all things bright! I just love the consistency of these, as it's a nice change from matte products on the market!

These babies retail for only $5.95 and are available from Terry White Chemists and wherever else you usually stock up on your Ulta 3 products!

Have you tried the Ulta 3 Lip Paints yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

These products were provided for consideration.
