Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms Review & Swatches

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty
Revlon has really been hitting it out of the park with their last few releases, with one of their latest releases being the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms. Australia was lucky enough to receive all 10 of the colours from the collection, which is unusual - but I'm not complaining!

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm colour range is pretty great, and includes all the basic colours you would want from a collection. Much like the original Revlon Colorburst collection, I fell in love with every single colour and just had to have them all!

Audacious, Complex, Elusive, Mischeivous, Shameless, Showy, Standout, Striking, Sultry, Unapologetic

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms come in the usual crayon-like packaging. I adore this packaging, as I find that they are much easier to apply than normal lipstick, and are far easier for travel. It is also beautifully sleek, and makes for such a pretty collection!

Top row: Audacious, Complex, Elusive, Mischeivous, Shameless

Bottom row: Showy, Standout, Striking, Sultry, Unapologetic

As you can see, each colour is rich and full, without shimmer or shine; exactly what you would want from a matte lipstick. The colours can be fairly sheer, but can also be built up to a truly rich finish.

I found the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms to go on like a breeze, applying smoothly and softly without any tugging or drying. Unfortunately because of the matte finish, it does show up any and all dry patches on your lips, even ones you didn't know where there! So my advise would be to exfoliate like mad, and use a lip balm before application.

I found that once applied, these lip balms definitely stayed put. The colour lasted all day, and although it did fade a little after eating and drinking, it was still wearable and didn't bleed or leave rings around my lips.

Overall I have to say that I love these babies! My first choice in terms of lip products is not usually a matte finish, but I have to say that I've been reaching for these more often than any other product lately. I even used Audacious for my anniversary a few weeks ago!

Have you tried the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms as yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Are you a fan of the matte finish, and the colours?
