A little while ago, I was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous gift pack in the post from Garnier Skincare. I adore Garnier and have always used their products, so this was pretty exciting for me. The three products I received were part of the Garnier Skin Active range.
The first product, and my absolute favourite, is the Garnier Skin Active Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-Blackhead Wash, Scrub and Mask. Phew, what a mouthful. Because it's loaded with charcoal goodness, it helps to draw out impurities. As my skin isn't so bad these days, I love using it as a mask once a week. As I'm washing it off, the scrubbing action takes effect and helps exfoliating my skin. Afterwards, I'm practically glowing.
The next product I tried was the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil. I do love their regular micellar waters, do I was intrigued by this one. It removes makeup incredibly well and made life easier by working double time in also removing my waterproof eye makeup. The only thing I didn't like about this one is that I felt a bit oily afterwards and felt like I needed to cleanse (which I would usually do anyway) but on lazy days I basically used regular micellar water afterwards.
Lastly, I received the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Wipes in Oil. These wipes were incredibly similar to the micellar water, but a little less effective. I used to love using makeup removing wipes, but I've since moved on to bigger and better things. These are great for removing makeup though and probably one of the more effective wipes I've tried before. I didn't feel as oily using these, though so that was a plus. These are great for removing makeup on the go.
As a cute little addition, I also got this cute head band/hair band. It's even personalised! So thank you, Garnier.
Overall, I really like this new range. The clear winner is the wash, mask, scrub combo but they're all fabulous products in their own way. I probably would keep a bottle of the micellar water for when I need to remove a lot of makeup, but generally I wouldn't use it for days when I've worn minimal or no makeup. The wipes I think would be good for travelling so I'll probably pick up my next pack when I'm heading out of Melbourne.
Have you tried any of the above products? If so, what are your thoughts?
