Last Friday I was thrilled to receive my latest Sigma order - the limited edition Paris Palette! The moment I saw this on their website, I knew it had to be mine! I have never been to Paris myself, but I think the idea of Paris is so elegant and special to any girl who loves beauty! So it makes this gorgeous palette just a little extra special!
(Also ladies, this is an extra long post as this is an extra special palette, so sorry if there are too many photographs or too much writing!)
The outer cardboard sleeve was a beautiful faux envelope with stamps and cute artwork.
I loved this extra special touch - a beautiful gold foil Sigma seal, with limited edition printed on it. This is printed on the outer sleeve and then again on the actual palette itself.
The palette itself really took my breath away! For one, it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, which I should have realised as it includes two full sized Sigma brushes - bonus! The outer design is just amazingly artistic, and I feel that the design on the outer sleeve and then the palette itself really captures what we love about Paris!
A shot at the palette inside. I love that the artwork continues on inside, and the mirror is so big, it's a perfect size!
The colours from left to right:
Eiffel, Seine, Louvre, Orsay, Elysées, Notre Dame, Triomphe, Versailles
The blushes from left to right:
Rouge, Péche, Lumiér
The two full sized brushes, which is such a wonderful touch! I'm so pleased that Sigma included full sized brushes as we all know, the ones included with palettes are usually ridiculously small and unusable!
They've included special pink/red editions of the E55 Eye Shading and F40 Large Angled Contour with the word "Paris" printed on them! Such a special touch.
This is the gorgeous booklet it came with. It has sections on each make-up artist that contributed and goes through why they chose their colour and how they believe it reflects in with the Paris theme. I really loved reading their explanations, and it was really nice of them to include this, as it's great to get a background of why the colours were chosen!
Swatches: Eiffel, Seine, Louvre, Orsay

Swatches: Elysées, Notre Dame, Triomphe, Versailles
As you can see from the swatches, the colours transfer to the skin beautifully, and are incredibly pigmented! My ultimate favourite colour is Versailles, and although it looks sheer on my arm skin, it looks incredible on my eyes! It's very difficult to capture on camera (well at least my non-professional camera) because of how light the colour is, but in real life it is just amazing.
I'm in love with all of the colours, and I'm really pleased with the set! I've tried a few of the colours on a couple of occasions, and they've all stayed on strong with or even without eye primer. The colours are incredibly rich, and as I said before, very pigmented, so you only need to use a little product to get a great effect!
Sadly, I didn't swatch the blushes, but they are just as amazing as the eye shadows! They are so rich in colour that you only need the tiniest bit of product to get a great full colour, I made the mistake the first time of really getting a lot of "Péche" on my brush and really worked it in... but luckily I smudged most of it off and worked it in, and it looked great!
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this palette and would recommend it to any beauty lovers! It's great value as it includes two gorgeous Sigma brushes with it, so definitely a great buy!

Have you tried the Sigma Paris Palette yet? Or are you thinking about buying?
Really like how pigmented the colours look!

Wow the palette looks sooo gorgeous!!! Was it expensive? I love the makeup gurus that made the colours :)
ReplyDeleteIt was $59, which ispretty good considering you're getting brushes too, I paid $60 for a Too Faced palette from Mecca so it's not bad, although shipping costs kill :(
DeleteOtherwise it is gorgeous, I don't regret buying it :)
xx
Really love all the colors! I've been thinking about buying some sigma brushes and I was wondering I you have used any of them before?
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely give them a go, I have their Essentials Kit and a travel kit from Sigma, and their brushes are beautiful! They are extremely soft! :)

This palette was created by the you tube gurus, they have tutorials on their channels, each person made a different colour inspired by their Paris trip. How cool, i would love to buy it but like you said shipping is a killer :(
ReplyDeleteYeah they wrote all about it in the little booklet, I just love their idea! It's such a shame about the shipping :( as much as I love Sigma, I really have to save up and then talk myself into spending the money lol. At least it's worth it in the end :)

DeleteBut thanks, I'm definitely going to treasure this one :)
xx
looking for that hehehe
Deleteyes treasure it!
hope one of this days i can also have that palette. it's so unique :)
but i cant buy even i really really wanted that! hehehehe
DeleteThis palette is sooooo tempting, I am trying my hardest not to cave lol :p I can see why you like Versailles, it looks beautiful in the swatch. The large angled brush also really appeals to me, the only angled brush I have is also a Sigma one but it's a kabuki, so very stiff, hard and densely packed. This one looks quite fluffy and soft :)
ReplyDeleteI was the same at first, I told myself I wouldn't buy it but I changed my mind practically overnight lol!
DeleteI really love the angled brush, it's my favourite! It is nice and soft :)
xx
OMG, i want! Haha, I have been eyeballing this since the moment it first came out on the sigma website. After seeing those lovely swatches I am so tempted to order it. Gotta love being addicted to beauty, huh? It means an empty wallet pretty much all the time. Loving you blog! I made mine a few weeks back if you would like to check it out some time. I am just really happy finding so many wonderful aussie bloggers. xo Genevieve
ReplyDeleteHaha it is a beautiful palette :)
DeleteThanks hun, I've checked out yours and I'm following, always nice to come across another Australian blogger!

The colour payoffs are outstanding! I can't believe the palette is a limited edition kind, not sure if I should resist or not!
ReplyDeleteThe moment I saw "Limited Edition" I knew I couldn't resist hehe.. the colours are amazing though :)
