Face of Australia have done it again! They've released yet another amazing limited edition nail enamel collection, the Carnivale collection, which of course I had to get my hands on right away! This collection is a little different - firstly, the bottle shape has changed. The Carnivale collection is also a textured polish collection, which is definitely exciting as textured polishes have only just hit Aussie shores not too long ago and it's a fairly new concept to us!
Mango Slurpee, Summer Lovin', My Island Home, Bird of Paradise, Between the Flags, Masquerade, Midnight Fireworks, Ferris Wheel
Now, judging by the names and colours of this collection, I think Face of Australia had a difference in opinion. The first four shades are gorgeous matte summer colours, with summer names. I don't know what "My Island Home" or "Bird of Paradise" has to do with a carnival, but I'm not complaining because the colours are beautiful. Then we've got the next four, beautiful glitter textures akin to those released by OPI under the name of Liquid Sands. The names truly do match up to the theme on these ones, so I was impressed. Not sure why the big difference in the same collection (I'm thinking they could have broken this up in to two collections, but oh well) but I'm loving the colour range!
Mango Slurpee
Summer Lovin'
Masquerade
Midnight Fireworks
My favourites from this collection were definitely the glitter finishes, as they really stood out and looked amazing on the nails! "Summer Lovin'" also really caught my eye, and this has been the one I've worn most since I first got the collection!
I found that all polishes lasted a good length of time, usually a few good days without any wearing or chipping. Wearing started on about day 3, but nothing too bad. I was really happy with the colours and quality of these polishes! The colours are totally gorgeous, and the mattes are perfect for summer, and the glitters are perfect for party season!
Have you tried the new Face of Australia Carnivale nail enamel collection yet? If so, what did you think? What colour is your favourite?
All polishes were swatched with no base coat and no top coat.
The collection looks stunning - I especially love the look of Masquerade! I definitely need to get my hands on these before they sell out like all of the other FOA collections!
ReplyDeleteSo very true! Surprisingly I've seen these around - a lot! I'm surprised they haven't been sold out already, so you probably have a good chance!

That's how I ended up with the entire collection hehe, they're just gorgeous! Surprisingly I've been seeing them everywhere, which is really weird! xx
DeleteMasquerade and Ferris Wheel are my favourites! Gorgeous colours and I'm a sucker for anything glittery :) Hopefully I'll be able to find these but FOA always seems to be really difficult to track down!
ReplyDeleteHaha same! The glitter is just amazing! Good luck finding them, but I don't think you'll have a problem, I've seen heaps of them floating around! xx
DeleteWow these polishes are so pretty! Even though I own way too many polishes already, I think I will have to get midnight firework to wear for Christmas or NYE!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same, I have wayyyy too many but I just couldn't pass these babies up! That's such a good colour for those kinds of occasions, I was thinking of wearing it for Christmas too! xx
DeleteNice swatches! I only have Ferris Wheel (with blog post) but if I had to get another, it would be Masquerade. I'm not too interested in the mattes shades although the colours are lovely.

ReplyDeleteAgreed, they definitely aren't as rough as a few others I've tried! xx
DeleteThe last four are my fave! I know where my next pay check is going haha
ReplyDeleteHaha! The last four are my favourite too, I can't say no to glitter! xx
