Pressed Mineral Blush in Glow
This was one of the products that excited me the most. I was instantly drawn to the shade, and it's made a great addition to my collection. I'm a huge fan of shimmery blushes so I'm happy this has a little bit of shimmer to it. This one retails for $9.99 and you can buy it here.
I wasn't overly excited by this one at first, as I'd experienced not-so-great pigmentation with DB Cosmetics eyeshadows in the past. However upon swatching, I was pleasantly surprised at how pigmented and creamy the shades are. I also really like the shades, as I am usually drawn to browns and nudes. This one retails for $9.99 and you can buy it here.
Contour Kit
I don't contour often because it's a bit of a pain in the butt in the morning before work, but on special occasions it's nice to add that little bit of dimension. This one is a really nice beginner contour kit, but would probably be best for those with lighter skin as even the darkest shade is fairly dark. The colours worked fairly well on my skin as I am very pale. This one retails for $9.95 and you can buy it here.
I was so impressed by this foundation. Even though it's a yellow based foundation, I found that the yellow wasn't overpowering on my skin. This one matched my skin tone well, and has really good coverage. I might consider doing a full face review if people are interested. This one retails for $12.99 and you can buy it here.
Longwear Matte Lipgloss in Everlasting
I wore this out to dinner and was actually surprised at how long it lasted, even after eating. Although this is matte, I found it did not cling to dry patches and was actually rather nourishing on my lips. I did use a lip balm beforehand though, to protect my lips from any excess dryness. I also absolutely adore the shade! This one retails for $9.95 and you can buy it here.
Absolute Lash Max Volume Mascara
This one has worked it's way into my regular mascara rotation. It gives great length, but not a lot of volume, which makes it great for an every day mascara. The applicator is pretty regular, which makes it easy to use. This one retails for $14.99 and you can buy it here.
Another product that's made it's way into my daily routine. A black kohl pencil is a staple in my collection, so I'm pretty picky. This one is incredibly creamy and pigmented, so I'm pretty impressed with the quality of this one. It also comes in a range of other shades, so I might consider grabbing some more for my collection. This one retails for $4.99 and you can buy it here.
Eyeliner / Eyeshadow Quad / Lip Gloss
I completely forgot to actually share a image of me wearing the mascara, so I'm sorry about that - but I might just have to do an entire blog post on it so I can share how lovely my lashes do actually look.

Overall, I'm utterly impressed with everything I received from DB Cosmetics. They really did blow me away with their increased quality; and it's so nice to see they have been able to keep their low prices.
I will definitely be grabbing more goodies for my makeup collection, particularly the blushers and the lip glosses!
Have you tried DB Cosmetics before? If so, what are your thoughts?

I received a DB liquid eyeliner from a previous LHI box, I haven't cracked it open due to my negative experience with a lot of the cheaper brands... but after reading this I think i'll give it a go :)
ReplyDeleteMatte lipgloss sounds like an oxymoron! I really want to try that contour kit!
ReplyDeleteHaha it does, doesn't it! But the contour kit is good, I would highly recommend ;) xx
ReplyDeleteOhhh definitely open it and see how you go! xx
ReplyDeleteI think I've tried one product from DB (an eyeliner?) which I didn't really like. They do seem like they've had a revamp though and a lot of these products sound pretty great! The matte lippy looks so bright!
