Natura Siberica Maximum Volume Oblepikha Shampoo & Conditioner Review*

Natura Siberica Maximum Volume Oblepikha Shampoo & Conditioner Review

A little while ago, I received a few products from newly launched range Natura Siberica. If you haven't heard of this brand just yet, it's an all natural brand direct from Siberia, hence the name. (Clever, see what I did there?) The package I received was full of pine cones and leaves, and it was just gorgeous. Except when you think it's too gorgeous to throw out and you forget about it and the leaves die. Oops. Still pretty, though.

Two of the products I wanted to review today was the Natura Siberica Maximum Volume Oblepikha Shampoo & Conditioner. I'm going to be honest and tell you that I had no idea what Oblepikha is, but a quick Google search tells me it is some kind of Siberian berry. Pretty cool.

I was pretty impressed with these bottles. The packaging alone is to die-for, and when I discovered this range is available in Chemist Warehouse of all places (I was expecting really high end stores) I was pretty delighted. Especially as their entire range is fairly cost effective and nothing goes over $40.

Again I'm going to be honest with you. When I first smelt these products, I did not like the scent at all. It was incredibly natural smelling - which I suppose is to be expected - and it really jumped up my nose. I'll admit this did put me off a little, but things changed when I started using the products themselves.

Left - Shampoo, Right - Conditioner

The shampoo is very thin and really easy to work with. I wasn't expecting yellow, but I like it. The conditioner was also surprisingly thin, and not as thick and creamy as I'm used to. This turned out to be a good thing for me however, as I'm often using too much conditioner and my hair ends up heavy and oily. This non-thick formula actually helped reduce the oiliness in my hair.

Ingredients. Left- Shampoo. Right - Conditioner.

I won't go into all the ingredients and talk about all the nasties and such it doesn't contain. There are so many amazing reviews out there that go into depth about the ingredients, so I'll just keep it simple.

When I got into the shower and used this, that smell hit me. But then I started actually using it in my hair, and once the product hit warm water it became rather pleasant. It wasn't as nice as a supermarket shampoo/conditioner with a bunch of fragrances popped in, but it didn't smell bad. I also found after using it, my hair felt very lightweight and clean. As mentioned earlier, I think the thinner formula of the conditioner really helped keep my hair nicer for longer. I also found the scent didn't linger, so even if you don't like it after using it in the shower, it doesn't stick.

Overall I was pretty impressed. I've begun trying a few other Natura Siberica products and am very quickly falling in love. They actually have a huge range of products, and as I mentioned before are super affordable. (Which means I don't feel at all guilty doing some sneaky purchasing when we need to go in to buy my partner's medication.) The shampoo and conditioner retail for $17.95 each, and are available from Chemist Warehouse or online here.

Have you tried anything from the Natura Siberica range? If so, what are your thoughts?
