Arbonne Makeup Primer

One of my dirty little secrets is that I used to never use a primer! I was terrible with it! I honestly thought it was a useless part of putting on make-up, well, until I got a little bit older and wiser, and realised exactly why we need to prime our skin! But since then, I've stuck with the same kinds of primers, just cheap drugstore brands that I never thought too much of. Until now, I've never really tried anything different.

What I want to share with you is my experience with the Arbonne Makeup Primer! This little baby retails at $50AU for just 30ml! In my mind I was thinking: "Who the heck would pay such an amount for primer!" I couldn't even imagine spending that amount on foundation, let alone primer! What can I say, I'm a thrifty shopper! But this one did change my mind!

I really liked the packaging for this product! You can never go wrong when you keep your packaging simple and elegant, which is exactly what Abronne have done here! Nice looking make-up always looks so much better on my dresser!

The Arbonne Makeup Primer comes in a handy bottle with a pump instead of the trusty old bacteria ridden tube I'm used to! I actually prefer a pump when it comes to cosmetics, especially when I know I'll be using my fingers to at least get the product out!

The actual product itself was very different to what I'm used to. The primers I usually use are really wet and almost runny, while this is a lot thicker. I was shocked when I saw how thick it was, and figured I would probably need a lot to cover my face.

But once I blended, a little went a long way, and I could really feel the difference! This primer felt like it was covering my face like a mask (and not in the gross way) and went on practically dry. Instantly it smoothed my face and created the perfect blank canvas!

After applying makeup, my finished face looked beautiful and the foundation just looked flawless! I used this primer on Friday night just before going out for a girl's night, and it kept my face looking flawless all night long!

My final verdict? I can see why people pay that kind of money for a primer now! I never knew that a primer could make such a difference! I also let my sister try this, and now she's in love with it! I would say this is definitely up there with some of the other leading brands in cosmetics, and I'd definitely repurchase this one again!

They have a lot of other gorgeous products that I'm now dying to try too, including a gorgeous lip gloss that I'll also be reviewing shortly!
So check out their website and get buying!

This product was kindly provided for my consideration :)

  1. I didn't use primer before (didn't know what it really was) until I watched some youtube videos and I love using primer. It really mattes the face and makes it easier to apply make-up. x

    1. I think it's just easy to forget about primers (which is probably why we never knew what they were before!) but they are so useful! They do make it a lot easier :)

    1. Bad Sheri :P you need a primer haha! Yeah some can be pretty bad in breaking me out too, which is annoying >:( It's hard because they are supposed to be "oily" lol. This one isn't oily at all though, it's really good!
Hopefully you find one that works! It makes make-up so much easier :P

  5. Is it necessary to use the Arbonne foundation? I have other stuff to use up and don't want to throw it away!

    1. No, not at all! I haven't even got the Arbonne foundation, so I can definitely vouch that your usual foundation will do just fine! :)

    2. ok, thanks! I am sure it helps to use all the Arbonne products but I want to make sure it is still effective using any type of foundation!

Definitely works with any, although it probably works amazing with their foundation haha! Maybe when you're finished with your current foundation give them a go!
