FOTD 06.07.12

Hey girls! If you follow me on twitter, then you'll know that yesterday I received my long awaited (well, not too long!) Real Techniques brushes! So I whipped them out of the box, took a couple of quick photos for a blog post I'll write up a bit later on, gave them a quick wash so they were ready to use for today! So I thought I would show you the Face of the Day I came up with using these gorgeous brushes!

If you follow my blog regularly, you'll probably know this isn't a look I usually do. Well, the wings, yes, but not without liquid or gel eye-liner. Today I created the look using the Real Techniques brushes (I'll definitely recap on that in my post dedicated to the brushes!) I really like how it turned out!

A further away shot of my face, for you all to admire!
Unfortunately the photos do not do the eye make-up justice, I definitely need a new camera! I'll point out below what colours I used, and you be the judge if you can actually see them or not!

A close up of all the lovely products I used! (Except the brushes!)

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer

For my face I used Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation, and the Wake Me Up Concealer to match! I am an absolute huge fan of the Wake Me Up Foundation, and I think Rimmel really hit the mark with this one! As for the concealer, this is not readily available in Australia. I have no idea why it wasn't realised with the foundation, but either way, I managed to pick up this bottle from ASOS.com for only $8.50! Bargain! It works exceptionally well with the foundation - as most concealers usually work better with their partnered foundation!

Rimmel London Sexy Curves Full Figure Mascara

For my mascara, I used Rimmel London Sexy Curves Full Figure mascara! I love this one, it was sent to me by Beauty Heaven, so it's not something I would usually buy. Probably because I have too many open mascaras as it is now! But this one works beautifully, and I'd definitely repurchase it as soon as I finish off all my other mascaras!

Rimmel London Colour Show Off Lipstick in "Kiss Me"

This was one of the coral lipsticks I picked up in Target's 40% off Rimmel sale! I'm wanting to wear a coral colour lipstick to a friend's event in August, and since I'm on a spending ban, I went all out and bought three different coral coloured lipsticks - just in case! I'm absolutely loving this one!

Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace

Are you shocked this isn't a Rimmel London product? I love Sleek products, and only wish they were more readily available in Australia! But at least they ship here! I saw this whilst browsing their website, and I knew I had to have it! The three colours are so different and yet all something I would buy standalone, so this was the perfect blush set for me! I used the far left colour, the more orange colour.

Sleek Palette in Oh So Special

For my eyes I used the third from the left on the bottom row, all over my eyelids, then used the black in the crease, and used the glittery blue to line my eyes top and bottom to create the winged look. In real life the blue was a lot more vibrant, and it looked amazing!

So, what do you think of my Face of the Day? I didn't feel overly well today, so I thought a lovely make-over would make me feel a million times better! Which it did!
