2012 Favourites

Happy New Year! 2012 has finally ended, and we begin 2013! What a perfect post to begin with, my 2012 favourites! I was tagged by the gorgeous Kat to share my favourites with you, so make sure you check out her blog and find out what her favourites were! (You can visit Kat's blog and read her post here)

I had a really tough time trying to figure out which were my favourites, without photographing and writing up a list of practically every beauty product I own!

Lip Products

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

Nude Delight has featured in many of my every day looks as it is so versatile and works with practically any look you want. This lipstick achieves the perfect nude without making you look like you're simply wearing foundation on your lips. You can read my full review here.

Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

It was inevitable that a lip butter would make it's way into my favourites, as the whole idea of these lip beauties is just amazing and easy. Tutti Frutti is my go to "special look" when I want to be noticed!

Makeup Base Products

Rimmel London
Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory

The Wake Me Up foundation was just released this year, and was the perfect sounding foundation for me - a night shift worker! Anything that will give me an anti-fatigue effect is bound to make it on my favourites. This is my go-to daily foundation. You can read my review here.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent

This has been my favourite pressed powder forever, so it will constantly feature in my favourites list. This has major shine control and is fantastic for touch-ups during the day, as it always makes my make-up look fresh!

Eye Products

Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner

The Supercat liner has become a very fast favourite ever since I received this from the lovely Amy (read her blog here) from our international blog swap! (see my post here). The Supercat liner doesn't smudge or fade, and stays strong and dark all day long!

Australis Multi Mega Lash Mascara

This has been the mascara I've been using almost all year. I have never had clumps using it, and it always makes my eyelashes look amazing. I'm on my second tube already, despite having a lot of other mascaras to test out! You can read my review here.

MUA Undressed Palette

I also received this from Amy in our swap, much to my delight! The Undressed palette is on almost every British beauty blog I've read, and I have read no bad reviews! I've been using this non-stop since receiving it, as it's perfect for day to night, and so versatile!

Cheek Products

The Balm Cabana Boy

I chose Cabana Boy because it is darker pink in colour and looks beautiful on paler skin, as well as darker skin. It's a great colour to use as eyeshadow as well, and is definitely my most used blush. You can see more here.

Too Faced Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer

As I'm so pale, I'm not a huge fan of bronzer. I use this for contouring most of the time, as it has excellent colour pay-off and looks excellent when used in all the right places! You can read my review here.

Nail Product

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener

I've been searching for a hardener for a long time, as my nails are fairly brittle and seem to break easily. I've been using the Diamond Strength for a few months and have to say that the change in my nails is amazing! It's definitely made my nails harder and they break a lot less often, which is fantastic!

Beauty Tools

Sigma Beauty Make Me Blush Essentials Kit

I didn't photograph the entire set of brushes, as that would have been too difficult! I just photographed my two favourites from the set, the gorgeous Angled Contour and the Large Powder. This set is absolutely stunning, and the quality is amazing. I now have two sets from Sigma, but would be more than happy to own more! You can read my review here.
You can buy this set here.

Skincare

Bior
é Triple Action Toner

I've been using this non-stop for a few months now, and the results are just amazing. My skin has never been smoother or less oily, and it's all thanks to this toner! You can read my full review here.

Fixaderm Skin Repair

Fixaderm is my absolute go to for any skin problem I have whatsoever! Pimples, cuts, rashes, itchy spots, you name it, Fixaderm can fix it! Even my boyfriend uses this now as he's discovered how well it works! You can read my review here.

Perfume

Vera Wang Princess

My boyfriend gifted me Princess for my birthday in February, so I've been using this lovely perfume all year long. This has been on my wishlist for many years, so he knew exactly what to buy for me! Vera Wang Princess is a subtle scent but beautiful, perfect for absolutely any occasion.

Hair Products

Lush Big

I have extremely long hair. Unfortunately, I also have very greasy and oily hair, something I have been struggling with for years. After many expensive trips to the hair dresser, only to have them all convince me to spend money on designer shampoos which seemed to do nothing, I decided to try something different. I went into Lush and purchased Big - not for oiliness but simply to get some volume into my flat, oily hair. When I realised this baby was made up mostly from sea salt, I figured this would also help with the oiliness. I've been using this for months, and will NEVER go back. I used it in between a normal shampoo and conditioner, but the results have literally changed my life. My hair has never looked better, and I have so much more confidence within myself. Prepare to read a very detailed review of this sometime in the future, which will more likely read as a thank-you letter to Lush!

KMS California
Free Shape spray

Earlier in 2012 when Glossybox was still a beauty box here in Australia, I received a sample size of the Free Shape. Not thinking much of it at the time, I tried it out on my bangs before blow drying to see what would happen. Needless to say I fell in love. My bangs stay sturdy and in place for a lot longer than usual. You can read my review here.

So there we have it, my favourites of 2012. It was an extremely difficult process trying to pick out which products were worthy to be included in this post, and which were just fazes that I would probably be bored of by the end of January!

I hope you liked them, anyway! A big thank you to Kat for tagging me and giving me a gentle push to post something awesome like this! Make sure you check out her blog here!

I tag absolutely anyone and everyone, and if you do the tag, please let me know in the comments! Leave me your link and I'll be happy to have a read!
