March Her Fashion Box

For a few months now, I've heard a lot of hype around Her Fashion Box, a new subscription box that's exploded onto the market with a fresh feel - not just beauty products, but fashion products too.

Her Fashion Box released their first box this month, at an introductory price of $24.95; with their usual price being $39.95. I decided to give them a shot, especially with the introductory price, and I received the very first box yesterday!

Much like the other subscription boxes, it comes with a chic black box which is quite a bit larger than a Bellabox or Lust Have It! box. However, the difference here is that there are three types of boxes you can subscribe to, but you get to decide which one you receive.

The three boxes are trendy, classic and feminine. I wasn't sure which box to go with, so I ended up choosing feminine, knowing I'll probably like the products much more.

Inside the box!

If you've read any of the other reviews, you'll know that majority of the products are the same, with only a few differences between. There are two ways of looking at that - firstly, we're all equal and one group aren't getting way better products than another (ahem, looking at you Bellabox!) or secondly, not a real opportunity to customise the box to the theme. I'm on the fence about it, but either way, I'm liking the look of what was included in the first box!

Bow Hair Tie

I'm sure you've read other reviews by now that Her Fashion Box hasn't included any brand names or pricing for the fashion products. I'm hoping this will change when they review their feedback, as I'd love to get my hands on the hair products that were included in the other box too! This is really cute, though, and I'll definitely use it!

Collar Necklace

I'm really happy this was included, as I've always wanted to wear a collar necklace, but have been too afraid to even try them out, so I've never bought one. This particular one is very lovely, and is a silver lace. It's not cheap feeling at all, so it would be nice to see who this is by and how much it cost.

Maybelline Colour Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Glisten Up Pink

This is a full sized product, and an extremely lovely colour that suits the theme well. I was a little saddened to see the trendy box receive the coral, as that's one of my favourite colours, but pink never goes astray! Maybelline is a great brand to be included in a subscription box, so I'm definitely pleased and hoping we'll see more cosmetics like this in the future!

Master Makeup by Dean Nixon Eyeshadow Brush

Always exciting to get a makeup brush, especially an eyeshadow brush! I've never heard of this line before, but I'll be happy to check them out again, as the quality of this brush is fairly good.

Moxie Collection of Samples

This is a really lovely little case, and it's presented so beautifully. Unfortunately, without being to TMI, I won't be able to use any of these feminine hygiene products. I will probably pass this along to my sister, or somebody who will be able to use them.

Circa Home Everyday Soap in Lilac & Orchid

Firstly, this smells amazing. I was greeted by a delightful scent when I first opened the box (and each time again afterwards) because of this soap, so I will be very happy to try this soon. I'm very happy to receive soap, as this will definitely be used!

Redken Diamond Oil Shampoo, Conditioner & Deep Facets Treatment

I'm happy with generous sample sizes, and very happy that these are not sachets. I had not heard about the Diamond Oil range before, and I believe it's just new on the Australian market, so I'll be excited to give these a go!

Unlike the other subscription boxes, Her Fashion Box have given us a small magazine which is loaded with information about the products they've included, even for the other boxes, so you can always keep track of what you're missing out on in the other box, in case you wanted to change.

I can see a lot of work has gone into this box, and their magazine, and I'm really happy to say that I admire that. I do believe the price is a little bit on the expensive side, especially for what it is, although I'm hoping that in time, the box will become more worth the money. This is only the first box, so I'm more than happy to give them a chance to see how they develop as a subscription box.

I'm sure Her Fashion Box will listen to the feedback and make any changes they think are necessary (like including where the fashion products are from - please!)

--

Overall, I was pretty happy with this box. For the price, I felt there could have been a little more, even a few smaller samples, but like I said before, for a first box I felt it was very successful. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing next months box and what's included!

Did you sign up to Her Fashion Box? If so, what did you think? Do you think you would sign up for this box given the chance?
