If you've been into a Priceline lately, then you'll know they are having one of their awesome gift with purchase deals! This gift with purchase is their annual free beauty bag. Basically you spend $60 on beauty products from a selection of different brands, and you get this bag full of products for free!
The bag itself is fairly normal this year, just a matte black snake print Models Prefer bag! Something pretty much anyone can enjoy.
All the goodies inside of the bag!
Physicians Formula Concealer Twins in Light
I'm excited to receive this, as I don't have a lot of concealers. I'm surprised to see this included in the bag, as it's something that's so colour specific for your skin, and they can't possibly be catering to everyone. Even so, I'm pretty happy to get this as it is actually in my colour!
I love these kinds of things, as they are far easier to take to work than a bottle of remover than could potentially leak. I'm really happy to receive these.
Revlon Beyond Natural Eyelashes in Sweetie Doll
These are absolutely adorable. I understand that this range is now discontinued, so I'm happy to get these before they're gone forever! They look like they'll be natural enough to wear day to day but still gorgeous enough to wear for a special occasion. Plus, you can never have too many lashes.
I got this kit in a beauty box at some point but in a different theme. These kits are great, and perfect for gifts. I'll definitely create some fun nail art with this kit.
I already own this particular shade myself, so I'll probably either pass this on to my sister, or if she already owns it I'll keep it for a giveaway and hopefully pass it on to somebody who doesn't already have it. Still a great addition to include!
1000 Hours 3D Nail Wraps in Lucy
This little kit is fun, I love getting these. I usually save them for special occasions, and this is a gorgeous design! A few of the other designs I've seen are not really my style so I'm happy I got these.
Models Prefer Moisture Lust Glossy Lip Tint in Candy Licious
I only have one or two of these, and I really like them! I haven't got this colour though, so I'm really happy to get it! These are very moisturising, so this is perfect for winter.
More lashes! Who can say no to more lashes? These lashes do have little jewels on them, so they're not exactly for day to day wear. I might save these for a special occasion.
I actually already have another one of these, and use it almost every day. This is my absolute favourite eyeliner, it's so creamy and doesn't drag, and I find that it doesn't fade away during the day!
I already own this illuminator as well, so I'll probably pass this on to somebody else who doesn't already own it. I think this was included in one of the past free bags.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Bittersweet
I have a few of these already, but luckily this is a colour I don't already own. It's a bit of a strange colour, not something I'd pick out for myself, but perfect for the colder months.
Something else I was surprised to see in the bag. I don't often wear BB cream, as most of them are usually far too dark for me anyway. This is definitely far too dark for me, and even for my sister or my mum, so I'll probably take this back to Priceline and see if I can exchange it for a more appropriate colour.
I'm surprised that they included this as well! This is definitely not my shade, so hopefully I'll be able to take this back in store and get it exchanged, as I'm a huge fan of this formula.
I haven't tried the liquid eyeliner from Savvy before, so I'm pretty intrigued. I can't wait to try this to see how it goes, as it's so cheap!
Models Prefer Makeup Case
This is actually the same makeup case that I received when I signed up to Priceline Beauty Club, so I suppose they just had a bunch left over. I know there was also supposed to be a small compact mirror, again the same that was included in the beauty club goodie bag, however I did not receive it in my bag for some reason. I'm not too bothered about that, since I have one already. You can read my post about the Priceline Beauty Club here.
Maybelline Dream Pure 8 in 1 BB Cream in Medium samples
Urgh, medium! Really! Why couldn't they include samples in different shades, that could have at least been useful to some of us. I'll definitely be passing these along hopefully to someone who hasn't tried them before, or at least someone whose shade is medium.
I had to spend a minimum of $60 on the brands included, so I thought I'd also show you what I picked up in order to actually get the bag! I decided on the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer, as I'm such a fan of everything else in the Stay Matte range. I also picked up two Models Prefer Infinite Colour Lipliners in Clearly Sealed; which is a clear lipliner that can be used on pretty much any colour, and Endless Orange, as I realised that while I am a huge orange lipstick wearer, I don't own any orange lip liners. I also chose two of the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms in Coquette and Demure.

Overall I was pretty pleased with the freebies included in the bag. While it's not the best thing ever and there are a lot of skin shade differences, it's definitely nothing to complain about. Providing my local store lets me exchange for other shades (I really hope they do) then I'm pretty happy!
Have you gone out and received the Priceline Beauty Bag yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

Nice to see some of the variations in the bag, yours had slightly different nail accessories and lashes to mine. The BB and foundation were also too dark for me, I asked about exchanging them and was told I couldn't :( Oh well, still a good bag and good little haul you picked up too!

Really, they said you couldn't exchange them? That's pretty harsh! I still haven't tried to exchange mine, but from what I've heard you are allowed to! What's the point in keeping it, when they could put it back on the shelves for someone to actually buy haha!
Deletexx
Because of colour choice, they should of just put a voucher in there for a free one so you can pick the colour you want instead of habing something WAY off. Common sense... Haha
DeleteI have to agree with you on the Models Prefer Liner! I actually have a few in my professional kit for shoots! Such a creamy liner! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteSparrowstylings.blogspot.com.au
Glad to know I'm not the only one! It seems like such an underrated eyeliner, everyone should try them! xx
DeleteThis is such a great offer - I did see it too, but as I don't wear false lashes, probably wouldn't use the nail kits and the foundations and BB weren't my shade, I decided to pass up on it. I love the clear lipliner from Models prefer, I use I almost every day!
ReplyDeleteOh that's fair enough, seems like majority of it is no use to you then. I usually feel the same way about the haircare bags but then end up taking advantage of the sale and qualifying anyway haha!
DeleteThere are definitely some great products in there, but I was put off by the inclusion of the foundation and BB cream. It's silly that they include products that really need to be personalised! It's weird that you got light concealer, but medium foundation/bb cream lol you're not going to use light concealer if you have a medium skin tone!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about whether you could exchange products too, if you can then I might consider it. i don't have anyone I can give the foundation/bb cream too if you can't swap them
Oh my gosh it's ridicilous isn't it! Earlier Dani from Kaboom Cosmetics said that she tried to exchange hers but they said no, which seems a bit unfair. If it hasn't been used or opened what's the problem! Especially if they can clearly see that the shade you have does not match your skin tone! True about the swapping, though! xx
DeleteRidiculous* haha
DeleteI didn't take up the goodie bag offer this time as due to the foundation shades and other products that I probably wouldn't use. Although it's a great idea for others!
ReplyDeletePlease let us know how you found the Stay Matte primer!
xxx Kat
It's definitely a great offer but you're so right about the foundation/bb cream shades. Such a shame! xx
DeleteI was pleased with my bag.. I got different shades of lipstick and polish than you (post is on my blog if you want a squizz) the foundation is probably a little dark for me too but I think I'll be able to use them. I got the Ombre Fing'rs kit, would have loved this one instead!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth spending $60 on something you're going to buy eventually anyways :)
Ohh I'll go take a look at what shades you got! I have the Ombre kit already so I was so happy to get different one! And yup so true! At least your foundation will kinda work for you :) haha xx
Deletei love getting these sample colleciton bags. its a great way to try new products out. except this one is even more awesome since it has full sized things! i've heard some really awesome things about the rimmel foundation.

A Beautiful Zen
It's definitely great value for money! The Rimmel Foundation is pretty awesome, just a shame that it's the wrong shade for me :(
DeleteEverything in the bag looks great, and I would definitely spend $60 to get it but the foundation shades put me off. Why not have different bags for different skin tones? At least a light, medium and dark so you can choose.
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes it's so frustrating, isn't it! That would have been a great idea, just a small sticker on the front with the word "light" or "medium" or "dark" so people can at least get use out of half the products! xx
DeleteI somehow miraculously managed to pass on spending $60 to get the priceline beauty bag... ok so it wasn't all that miraculous if I had less than $60 left in my allowance to spend. It WAS mighty tempting to use the "joint" credit card... :P
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how you go with the Manicare Moisturising Nail Polish Remover Pads. I've tried some that were absolutely rubbish at removing nail polish (especially glitter and darker, more stubborn colours).
Hahaha! I think it's all the sales alongside the bag that get me! I was originally not going to get the bag either but I was like "oh well I need this, and this. Oh and this" and it ended up qualifying haha! Ohh I've tried some terrible ones too, I might do a review so I can share how these ones go! xx
Deletewow....amazing goodies......xoxoxo....^_^
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's definitely a great value bag xx
DeleteI thought the inclusion of base products was unusual since how can they get the shade match universal? I hope the store lets you exchange! The Soft Focus Illuminator was definitely in a bag before - I think maybe 2 years ago. Kind of annoying they repeated it.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's a bit ridiculous! And yes, I knew I wasn't imagining things! I haven't used up my older illuminator so I'll probably just pass it on! I really hope they do let me exchange foundation and BB cream shades! xx
DeleteWow!!! You def seem to have great products here. This is a great deal indeed. I wonder what is the color of the Revlon lip butter in Sorbet.
ReplyDeleteIt's a really lovely colour! Nice and pink :)
Deletexx
This bag seems pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost tempted to get one myself (but I really shouldn't!!!!) hehe
Hehe they're pretty good considering you get it for free xx
DeleteOh wow, I didn't even know that Priceline offers an annual beauty bag! The things included seems pretty cool. It's nice that they offer full-sized products. Definitely value for money! Hopefully they will let you exchange for the right shades!
ReplyDeleteYeah it's pretty neat! I haven't even tried to exchange, but hopefully they do when I get in there! xx
DeleteThis looked so great, I'm pretty dark compared to the average person so I didnt get this...if you did manage to exchange please let me know so I can get it next year!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even tried to exchange yet, but when I do I'll be sure to update everyone! xx
DeleteHave had Revlon sorbet for a while...A pop of color that definitely stays on well and feels moisturizing..Would look nice on any skin tone..
ReplyDeleteso sorry to see you missed out on your shade in a few of them, but at least the concealer was correct! :)
