ORLY GelFX Nails*

ORLY, GELFX, Gel Nails, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, BBloggers,

I'm a total sucker for a pretty nail polish (which is probably why I have well over 100 bottles) and one of my favourite brands to collect is ORLY. I've been a big fan of ORLY since I first tried their products a few years ago, and I haven't looked back.

I've seen a few shades from the ORLY GelFX range; their in-house range of gel polishes, and when I was given the chance to try them out, I jumped!

OR2

This little collection contains six new shades available as a gel polish. All six shades are incredibly bright and beautiful, and were perfect for the warmer months. (Neons are also a great way to spice up the winter months too!)

This was also a chance for me to finally try out a UV lamp I have recently acquired, and so these would be my first official gel manicures!

ORLY, GELFX, Gel Nails, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, BBloggers,

It was so difficult selecting the first shade to try as they are all so beautiful! My personal favourites were Ablaze, Hot Tropics and Saturated.

This being my first gel manicure, I was surprised at how easy it was. I ended up only using two coats of each, following the regular gel manicure process. Since I didn't have an ORLY base or top coat, I just used the brand I had at home. The polish went on smoothly and was really easy to work with. I didn't have any "bad egg" shades.

Neon Heat, Ablaze, Tropical Pop, Lush, Hot Tropics, Saturated

As you can see, all six shades are big, bright and beautiful. These swatches are with two coats of polish.

In terms of longevity, I was super impressed. Being that this was my first gel manicure, I was impressed once it lasted longer than four days without a chip! To last almost two weeks before I got bored and peeled it all off was an absolute miracle.

I also notice that the polishes didn't dull or discolour over time. They stayed bright throughout the entire manicure, so my manicure felt fresh even after a week.

I am totally in love with these shades, and I have already worn majority of the colours more than once. These have definitely changed my mind in terms of buying and using gel polishes, and I'll more than likely be investing some more from ORLY.

Have you tried any of the ORLY GelFX shades before? If so, what are your thoughts? Which shade is your favourite?
