Zoeva Cosmetics Mixed Metals Eyeshadow Palette

Zoeva Cosmetics Mixed Metals Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

Last week it was my birthday, so I decided to spoil myself and do some shopping at Sephora. Most things I wanted were sold out, but when I saw the Zoeva Cosmetics Mixed Metals Eyeshadow Palette, I splurged a little and grabbed it. (Sadly it was one of the only Zoeva Cosmetics palettes left in stock.) I had never tried this brand before either, so I was not too sure what to expect.

ZV2-1

I'm a really big fan of wearing metallic and shimmery shades, so this palette was right up my alley. I thought that a lot of the shades included were fairly unique and I probably didn't have a million dupes - unlike nude shades.

The Mixed Metals eyeshadow palette comes with ten metallic shades, each as gorgeous as the last. All ten are fairly pigmented, perhaps except Warm Silver, which is more of a highlight shade anyway.

I was most excited to try out Rusty Steel, Platinum and Aluminum - typical neutral type shades. I was also pretty interested in finding out just how pigmented Onyx was - as a matte black shade seems to be a standard inclusion with palettes like this these days.

Alloy, Neo Brass, Bronce, Rusty Steel, Copperplate
Warm Silver, Platinum, Ore Stone, Aluminum, Onyx

Above swatches were three layers each, no eye shadow primer.

I was pretty impressed with the shades I was looking forward to try. I love all the shades and they will be perfect to create a unique smokey eye look - especially with the incredibly pigmented Onyx. The shades were really easy to work with, buttery soft and blends like a dream. I was also delighted to find the shades to be quite buildable which means you can tone it down if you need to.

--

For less than $40.00, I can safely say this is a great investment for those who love their metallic shades. I'm really happy with this palette and I'll get a lot of use out of it - especially come winter.

Have you tried any of the Zoeva Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes? If so, what are your thoughts?
