Personal Planner

For a while now, I've been tempted by the idea of a blog planner. I'm really terrible when it comes to planning my blog posts, especially with deciding what I'm going to write about and such. Now, with even more PR's interested in working with me, I really need to start getting organised!

I was extremely thrilled when I was contacted by the lovely people at Personal Planner! I'd heard about them from other bloggers, so this was a golden opportunity!

The idea of a personal planner is to make it exactly that - personal! Going through the website, it gives you countless options to make it as unique as possible, as well as some standard base options you can start off with if you're not too creative minded!

I opted for one of their templates, as I thought it was just gorgeous. Of course, you can alter it to your liking! I was just too excited to order one, so I didn't want to wait until I had gone through all of my photos and picked some lovely ones. (Although I will definitely be doing that next year!)

The front page.

This page is blank and you can put anything here! I went for the obvious, and further down the page, I put my personal information in case I happen to lose my planner - then whoever finds it can return it to me! Or stalk me, whatever tickles their fancy.

The headers

As I said before, I decided on their pretty pink template, but there were many choices to go through and decide on, to make your headers absolutely unique! I decided to make mine all match!

The footers on the page had optional add-ons that you could place, with different types of things that would be unique to you! It included gym schedules, day care schedules if you have kids and all sorts of other things. I ended up deciding on just one for the left page, which was "idea of the week". I figured this is most relevant as I'll be mostly using this for a blog planner! (They also offer actual blog planners, however, I also wanted to mix it with personal!)

On the right page, I decided on the "notes of the week" feature, a miniature calendar just to show whereabouts in the month we were and a little extra note area! One can never have enough notes!

I also noticed that this adorable note comes up a few weeks before your planner finishes! It's a great reminder since I am always forgetting those sort of things! Plus it gives you enough time to jump back online, order another unique planner and have it arrive in the mail just in time for the new year! (Or in my case, new financial year!)

The back of the planner is where it gets really exciting! You can pick and choose exactly what you want here (I chose mostly note pages, in case you didn't guess!)

I also decided on a complete overview of the two years, just to add any birthdays or anniversaries so they are easily in plain view!

I also decided on an addresses & phone numbers section. I recently had a bit of a scare with my email address! Hotmail decided to lock me out as "someone else is using your password." Yes, that someone else was me on a different computer. I have no idea why it locked me when the password was correct, and it put me out for a good ten minutes! Luckily my friend was listed as my backup, so I had to call her and get the code. If I hadn't been able to get that from her, I would have been lost!

So instead of losing all of my friends, families and PR contacts, I thought it would be great to keep a paper copy!

An overview of how the whole planner looks.

I love the way the planner is set out! It really is unique to me!

The best part of this is that you create the whole thing online. You have complete control over how everything is going to look, and at the end of it all, if there is something you want to change, it's just a click of a button!
For example, you can change the sizing. I decided on A5, which is their newest addition! Otherwise, the sizes are small, medium and large!

Another plus, which I think was my favourite feature of order, was that you can actually import your friends and families birthdays and anniversaries directly from Facebook! Much easier than trying to remember them all during the ordering process - that way, nobody gets left out!
They also give you a complimentary ruler, plastic sleeve and elastic closure with the order of your planner!

All in all, I'm really excited about this! I'll definitely be ordering one next year, and my sister is already wanting one of her own! The website also offers notebooks, and gift cards, so if you want to gift it to somebody, but still let them customise it, then this would be the perfect option!

Next year I'm definitely going all out, but even if you're a little bit too lazy or not really confident in your creativity skills, then their templates are just adorable too!
