A little while ago I put out the word for a Halloween Swap. I had a fair few people take part, and I got paired up with the gorgeous Robyn, who runs Want Buy Blog! Robyn is based in the UK (and she just happens to work for Bare Minerals - score!) so I knew I'd be getting some pretty awesome goodies!
She emailed me before she sent everything off and warned me that she included a fair amount of samples and discounted products she was able to get from her friends! As usual with swaps, we were both feeling a little anxiety! (Oh no, did I buy her too much or not enough!)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how adorable this wrapping is! I wish that Australia was more into Halloween, so I could have made more of an effort with wrapping and design!
All of the goodies together, minus the samples. Whoa! We only had a $50AU limit, so I was super surprised to see so much included!
Robyn said she didn't have any Halloween cards (neither did I, for that matter) but she drew me this super cute pumpkin! Adorable!
Bare Minerals Eyeshadow Brush, Feathered Eyelashes, H&M Smoky Eyeshadows in Smoky Green, H&M Metallic Mousse Eyeshadow in Purple Lava, H&M Eyeshadow in Woodstock, Maybelline Eye Studio Duo in Plum Opal & Pink Opal, Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Quad in Royal Blue, Bare Minerals Duo in The Masterpiece, Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara
Robyn wrote me a huge list explaining why she included everything she did, but stupidly I forgot to write her one! She purchased the feathered eyelashes as a bit of a gag gift, something I could wear on Halloween maybe! I will most likely wear these to work, as I have to work that night!
Of course, she included some awesome Bare Minerals goodies for me! The duo is absolutely amazing, and I'll be doing a separate blog post on this one altogether so stay tuned! I've also never seen the Maybelline mini eyeshadows before, so I was definitely intrigued! My favourite has to be the H&M Smoky Eyeshadows, as I am really lacking in green but love to wear it!
Firstly, how gorgeous is the Gold by Giles Blusher! It reminds me of the Shimmer Bricks from Bobbi Brown! I was also excited to see the Chit Chat Highlighter, as I have seen a lot of UK bloggers rave about this (and how it's actually better than Benefit!) so I can't wait to test this one out! I was also surprised to see the Rimmel London Stay Matte foundation! I actually tried this a few weeks ago, but this is a different colour to the one I bought, so we'll see how I go!
I'm also really excited to try out the BB cream brush! It looks like it'll be amazing for liquid foundations and BB creams!
Gold by Giles Lipstick in Babe & Jazz, Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick in Belle, H&M Lipgloss in White
How adorable is the Seventeen lipstick case! I love how it includes the little mirror, so handy! I also adore the colours Robyn chose for me - each one of them is perfect! The lipgloss is so cute as well!
Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Body Scrub, St. Ives Apricot Scrub, H&M Wet Wipes in Vanilla Drop, Montagne Jeunesse Fruit Smoothie Deep Pore Cleansing Masque in Crushed Raspberry, L'Occitane Hand Cream in Cherry Blossom, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Colour in Virtual Violet
This is where I started feeling bad! Robyn included so many awesome things, including the Boots scrub (which by the way, smells amazing!) I was also pretty excited to see the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, which is something all bloggers seem to love! I'm also happy to try my first L'Occitane hand cream, which is totally drool-worthy!
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme, Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in Strawberry Fudge Duo and Like Mink Duo, Bare Minerals Prime Time, Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus x2, Lancome Juicy Tube, L'Occitane Repairing Shampoo, Conditioner & Mask samples, L'Occitane Exfoliating Gel, Hydration Cream, Protective Lotion & Eye Roll On samples, Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick samples
OH MY GOD those samples! Seriously amazing samples, so happy to try out all these new products! I'm particularly happy about the Clinique quad - as it's got such cute colours!
Haribo Horror Mix Minis x2, Smarties Pumpkin Chocolate, Screme Egg, Crunchy Spiders, Wonka Chocolate Nice Cream
I totally love English chocolate - they have way better stuff than ours! I haven't eaten any yet (I'm saving them for Halloween) but I'm so tempted! (Particularly by the Wonka.. yum!)

So a huge, big, giant crazy thank you to the gorgeous Robyn! If you haven't checked out her blog yet, make sure you do! She's a gorgeous person and so easy to talk to, as well as having an awesome blog! As you can see, she's also very generous! Again, thank you, Robyn!
Once she writes a blog, I'll update you here so you can see what I got her! (Shameful in comparison, I'm sure!)
If there's anything you'd like me to review, I'll try my best! (I have so many reviews coming up shortly that have been requested, don't think I've forgotten!)

Have you tried any of these products before? If so, what did you think?
Would you be interested in taking part in a beauty swap?
What an amazing bunch of goodies! Robyn was so generous. Those UK chocolates look pretty good too haha
ReplyDeleteShe was super generous, I'm so happy with everything! And I wish Australia celebrated Halloween a bit more so we could get these awesome chocolates! xx
DeleteThe St. Ives scrub is great. Too bad it stinks on my skin though. Great post!!
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! Good to hear it works well, I'm pretty easy going when it comes to smells, so hopefully won't be a problem! xx
Deleteyw. ^_^
DeleteShe got you so many great things :) (And the packaging is just too cute^^). Can't wait for her post to see what you got her! xx
ReplyDeleteShe really did! I hope she liked what I got her! xx
DeleteOh I'm so so glad you liked everything!!! I did feel like you might have thought I'd gone overboard but I promise it was all within budget...I'm just super lucky to know people in different stores and to be able to abuse their discount! I glad my HUGE list of explanation wasn't too boring for you to read...I have this whole "I over explain my choices thing"! haha! Let me know how you get on with everything :) (I hope the foundation isn't too bad colour wise and that you like it...)
ReplyDeleteOf course lovely, everything was amazing! You are so lucky haha, if I had those kind of connections I'd be broke all the time ;) The foundation is a good colour, don't worry! :)
Deletexx
Glad to hear that foundation is a good colour :) I'm so so pleased with everything you sent even if you think it wasn't a lot compared to mine! Working in the industry does help (samples always make everything look better!haha!) I'm happy that you enjoyed everything :) If i get my SUPER discount with BM this year then maybe you'll get a treat after Christmas.... :) Thanks again for organising this swap! xxx

Very soon lovely! I'm thinking possibly an Easter one, since I did a Christmas one last year and I'll be overseas for the better part of December so I wouldn't be able to keep up with it! xx
DeleteOh wow! look at all the products !! This is how halloween should be celebrated ^_^
ReplyDeleteEnter My Dinner Giveaway ^.^
Yes I totally agree with you hehe! xx
DeleteWow she definitely hooked you up! ;)
ReplyDeleteShe most certainly did... and she's welcome to ANY time haha! xx
DeleteWhat a lovely swap package! Loving everything you got, and how adorable are the choccies too!
ReplyDeletexx
I was so amazed by everything! I love the yummies.. I still haven't eaten them yet, but I'm dying to! xx
DeleteWow - Robyn sent you so many nice things! On her blog she says that Australian chocolate tastes better than our UK chocolate. I would definitely be interested in doing a swap sometime. Xxx
ReplyDeleteShe's such a gorgeous girl! I read that, I know our chocolate is pretty darn sweet, but I thought UK chocolate was also really sweet. I think it's something to do with the oil we use in our chocolate so it doesn't melt as easily in the hot weather! Not sure haha! Keep an eye out, I'll be doing another one hopefully early next year! xx
DeleteOmg that is quite a lot given that you had a $50 limit!! The Gold by Giles products look so lovely, and the St Ives Apricot scrub is currently my favourite product.
ReplyDeleteI know, I couldn't believe she kept within the limit! She's a lucky girl to know so many people with discounts! I love the look of the Gold by Giles, I'd never heard of them before but they look so luxe! Good to hear more people loving on the scrub, I can't wait to start using it! xx
DeleteI promise it was within the limit! Unfortunately a few of my friends have swapped jobs so my discount buddies have disappeared! Boo!! The Gold by Giles was from New Look and is a practical dupe for the Bobbi Brown stuff but much cheaper (and better I think!) Bizarre. Hope you're enjoying it all :) xxx
DeleteRobyn got you such awesome things. I wish Australia was big on Halloween too - the packaging was waayyy cute. Thanks so much for hosting the swap Jasmine. I'll link you to my swap with Evelyn (@CottonCandyDiva) when I post it up xxx ♥
ReplyDeleteSame, I really wish we had more Halloween stuff here.. it would be awesome! And really it was my pleasure, I can't wait to see what you guys got each other! :)
Deletexx
Wow you got some amazing things:) Bare Minerals is one of my favourite brands. The Halloween swap has been so much fun, thank you for organising it (my post is on it is live now). Enjoy your treats and goodies. xxx
ReplyDeleteI seriously can't believe I'd never tried anything from them before, they seem like they have some amazing goodies! And my pleasure - about to check it out now Ingrid! xx
