Sigma Beauty Creme de Couture Palette

Beauty, Sigma Beauty, Beauty Blogger

When I first started blogging, I was introduced to a beautiful brand called Sigma Beauty. Most of you will be familiar with their amazing brushes - which is what they are really known for - but in the past few years they have delved into cosmetics as well. A while back (and I mean a long while, this review is so overdue!) they released a gorgeous palette called Sigma Beauty Creme de Couture Macaron Inspired Eyeshadows. I knew this palette had to be mine!

The packaging itself is gorgeous, and looks very much like a box of macarons! I love the elegant border design and the cute pastel colours.

Inside was even cuter. Sixteen beautiful shades presented like macarons. The names and actual shades are exactly what you would imagine from these delicious treats, so I think this was done very well. I was really impressed with the packaging, and still am.

The sixteen shades. Being that there are a fair few pastel shades here, I was a little bit concerned about chalkiness. I had never tried anything eyeshadow related from Sigma before now, so I wasn't sure if their macaron palette was just a gimmick for cuteness, or if it was actually decent.

Row 1: Redberry Rose, Apricot Flower, Passion Fruit, Cherry Blossom

I was immediately impressed with the first shade I swatched, which was Cherry Blossom. Pigmented, smooth and easy to blend - exactly what you want in a light shade. This is one out of the two lightest shades in the entire palette, and it stacked up well. I had no other complaints about the other shades.

Row 2: Meyer Lemon, Ginger Pumpkin, Cafe au Lait, Blueberry Cream

I was so hesitant when I saw the yellow, but was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it looked on the skin, and how wearable it could be. I was a little disappointed in Cafe au Lait, being a standard brown shade, it was a little harder to blend than the other shades. Other than that, no complaints.

Row 3: Violet Whip, Lavender Honey, Cassis, Elderberry

I fell in love with the first three shades, as there was no chalkiness to them whatsoever. Elderberry was a little bit like Cafe au Lait, which surprised me being a darker shade.

Row 4: Blue Chocolat, Almond Pear, Creme de Menthe, Citron Pistachio

If you know me well, you'll know one of my favourite colours is green, so this row really spoke to me. I loved every colour here. All were easy to blend, no chalkiness and were so so pretty!

Expect to see a fair few looks on my Instagram featuring this palette! Despite buying it a long time ago, I've only just fallen in love with it, so it will more than likely show up a lot in my rotation.

I expected a lot from Sigma Beauty, and they truly delivered. I was so impressed with the quality and pigmentation of all shades. Sigma Beauty has done an amazing job at creating such a gorgeous macaron inspired palette!
