Rose-Hip Vital Oil

A little while ago I was asked to trial out the new Rose-Hip Vital Rose-Hip Oil! I was intrigued, as I'd heard fabulous things about Rose-Hip oil!

I realised then that this was organically cold pressed. Basically that means that the oil is extracted without heat (or chemicals, for that matter!), making it a lot more beneficial and organic! The super fine filtering processes means the final product is one of the finest quality Rose-Hip oils you can find!

I also love the fact that this is an Australian owned family business, which makes it local and organic!

So, what can Rose-Hip oil be used for?

Rose-Hip oil can reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars, something a lot of us suffer from, sadly! It can also minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which while that is not a major concern for me right now, it is certainly comforting knowing there are natural products for that!

The oil can also improve the appearance of dry and sensitive skin, and maintain skin hydration and softness. I've found this has really kept my skin soft and hydrated! It is also used to promote skin elasticity and texture - another plus I've found from using this!

How gorgeous is that box!

Now, there's one thing I need to warn people about, and that is the smell. When I first received it, I opened it in anticipation thinking it would smell like roses. How wrong I was!
It's not a bad smell, it's just very organic, and not for everyone! I honestly don't mind it, but at first I was a little turned off! It just comes down to how important scent is in your skincare!

(For me, I'm actually pleased it doesn't smell all rose like - it means it truly is organic, as it certainly smells that way!)

You've been warned!

I decided the quickest and probably most effective way to trial this would be on my face. I wondered that because my face was already naturally oily, whether or not it would be even worse for me!

Instructions say to use 3-4 drops on damp skin, however I used only 2 drops to start out with as I was a little hesitant. Application was very simple as it comes with a dropper! My face was slightly oily at first, but once the Rose-Hip oil had absorbed, it felt fine! (And for those wondering, the smell disappears very quickly! So not to worry!)

I love that this comes with a dropper!

So, I've been trialling this for a few weeks. End result?

My skin has never been clearer, literally. I've had no breakouts whatsoever since using the Rose-Hip Vital. I would no longer describe my skin as "oily" but would lean more towards normal now, and I've even been able to go bare faced a few days - which if you know me in real life, is a huge step for me to take!

I've just begun trying them out on my scars and stretch marks, so I have high hopes for those as well!

So what do you think of the Rose-Hip Vital Oil? Have you tried Rose-Hip oil before, if so, what did you think?
