Weekly Makeup Tag: 60's Inspired

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know by now that I usually take part in a magical little tag called the Weekly Makeup Tag, which is run by the very lovely Aqeela! (Check out her blog here, along with the other lovely looks!)

She's come up with the wonderful idea of hosting this tag every Wednesday! We decide on a theme, create a look and submit it to her, where she then showcases our looks on her blog for the world to see! It's such a great experience, and it's really great to chat to the other lovely ladies taking part!

This week we decided on a 60's inspired theme! At first I figured, hey, this would be a piece of cake! How wrong I was!

I struggled a little, and created this look in a bit of a rush to get my pictures in by the deadline as I had a bit of a hectic weekend! But in the end, I was happy with my look!

For my eyes, I started with using Rimmel London Kohl Liner in White on my waterline.
I tried to define my upper and lower lashes, and used Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara.
For a splash of colour (blue seemed a popular choice for ladies in the 60's!) I used a light blue from my BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Palette.
I finished the eyes off with a nice, thick wing using Essence Gel Liner

I used Rimmel London Cream Gel foundation for my face, as it gives me the perfect and most natural colour for my face. I decided not to use blush, and tried to keep my face as "natural" as possible!
I finished the face look off with Rimmel London Stay Matte.

I used Rimmel London 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Liner in Tiramisu to give my lips a nice full look, and finished off with Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight.

So there you have it! My look was a little rushed, so therefore a bit more messy than I would have liked, but either way I like what I ended up with!
Aside from the large wings, I think this is a look I could wear out - although I'm not 100% comfortable wearing no black eyeliner on my waterline! That was definitely a struggle!

So what did you think of my look? Make sure you check out the other lovely ladies looks too! (Check them out here.
