Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub

A few weeks ago, I was really sick, and my lips were really dry. Now, when I say dry, I don't mean cracked and gross. Let me paint a picture - you know when you have tomato soup, and you leave it slightly too long and it develops a "skin?" Well, that's how my lips felt! I know, disgusting. I tried everything I could think of, until finally my boyfriend went out and got me the Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub.

I was hesitant at first, as my usual sugar scrub didn't seem to be doing a lot of help. (Although in saying that, I've had the same tube for a long time, and there isn't much left, so it's probably not as healthy as it could be.)

This scrub is practically just sugar, which means it's entirely edible! The smell is delicious, with a hint of chocolate within all of that minty sugar!

I was actually shocked to find just how sugary it was!

The texture is ridiculously gritty, which makes it perfect for removing dead skin from your lips, and exfoliating like crazy! After just a few uses of this lip scrub, the disgusting tomato soup skin feel had disappeared, and my lips were smooth and supple again, ready for lipstick swatching! (Which of course is the hardest part of being sick - not being able to swatch new lipsticks!)

My boyfriend has already asked me to pick him up a jar next time I head to Lush (although I suspect it's purely because he likes the flavour!) and I am already well into this jar myself! The only thing I'm worried about is licking off too much of the sugar! (Too much sugar... that's a thing?!)

--

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who has dry or chapped lips, or anyone who has experienced the wretched tomato soup skin lips, or anyone who just wants to have soft and supple (not to mention chocolate minty) lips!

For only $9.95, I think that the Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub is a steal, and will definitely be repurchasing this once I'm finished! I think I may even pick up another jar to keep in my handbag!

Have you tried Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub before? If so, what did you think?
