Being a beauty blogger, I have a fair amount of makeup. I was inspired by the lovely Sophie's series (you can check out her blog here) showcasing her impressive makeup collection, and after a little bit of convincing, I've given in and decided to show you all my collection!
I thought I'd start things off with base products; including primers, BB creams & tinted moisturisers, concealers, illuminators & highlighters. I decided that because I have way too many foundations, I'd save those for another post!
Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, Arbonne Primer*, Nude by Nature Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer, Face of Australia Primer, Australis Primer, Australis Matte out Mattifying Face Base, Avon Face Perfector, Make Up For Ever High Definition Primer, Too Faced Primed & Poreless
Australis All Over Face & Body Tint, Nude by Nature BB 5-in-1 Miracle Cream, Garnier BB Cream (Light)*, Nivea BB Cream Light*, Nude by Nature Tinted Moisturiser, Garnier BB Cream (Medium)*
Nude by Nature Flawless Concealer, Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer, Covergirl TruConceal, Rimmel London Stay Matte Concealer, Cargo OneBase
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch, Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator, Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminator, Australis High Lights, Essence Circus Circus Highlighter, Essence Breaking Dawn Shimmer Powder, Essence Cherry Blossom Girl Shimmer Powder

Haha, sadly I was addicted to makeup before becoming a blogger as well, so it all adds up over time haha :)

Wow certainly quite a collection there! You own so many primers :O I only have one hahaha.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about the Australis Face & Body Tint? I'd love to see a review :)
I would also like to see a review for the Face and Body tint :P
DeleteI know right, I have way too many primers haha! I'm on the hunt for the perfect one! I don't mind it, but I'll definitely do a more in-depth review soon :)

Can't waitttttttt. x
DeleteHi Jasmine! I have a question. How long do you keep them before throwing them away? How do you keep track with the expiration dates with all of those?
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)

Well all of the above products were purchased within the last two years. With primers, I usually go through them like crazy within at least 2-3 years, so I don't end up keeping them too long. I usually just keep a mental note of how long I've had it, and if it's been too long I'll just throw it out! It can be pretty annoying to go by that so I should probably write them down or something lol.

What an amazing collection so far! I cannot believe how many bases/primers you have! I only have about 4-5 in my collection! I can't wait to see what the rest of your makeup collection includes! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It started out with only a few and then my collection just grew as I was trying more! :)

So many glorious products, and this is only part 1! Haha!

I love these sorts of posts because it's always interesting to peer into other collections - very often I end up discovering something new that I 'need'! Looking forward to seeing your future instalments :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree, I'm one of those girls who "needs" what that other blogger has.. haha! Thanks Vita :)
DeleteIt does add up very quickly, doesn't it?! I try not to have too many of the same type open at the same time but it's surprising how often it happens. :P
ReplyDeleteI've been resisting this concept because I'm almost afraid of what I'll find that I've forgotten about. In the process of reorganising my storage so it might happen after that.
Great post and can't wait to see the rest! ;)
Ahh it seriously does haha! I'm the same, I try to only have a few open at once but when you start getting things to review that you obviously have to open, and the ones you realllly want to try, you just conveniently forget :P
DeleteI reorganised mine a little while ago and threw out SO much... so this is the aftermath of reorganising... still scary haha!
Thanks hun! :D
Looking forward to the next collection post!

ReplyDeleteThanks hun I'll definitely take a look when I get the chance

You have a huge primer collection! I usually only have 2/3 going at once at the most haha. I like the look of your concealer & illuminator collection x
ReplyDeleteBeauty For Thought
Haha thanks! It did get a little out of hand, so no new primers for me! :)

could you please recommend a good highlighter for me? it looks like you have a couple :) thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess it all depends on what kind of highlighter you are after! Do you prefer powder or liquid? My personal favourite is the Essence Twilight one, as it's really easy to work with and it's really difficult to go overboard (unlike some of the liquid ones, it can be a bit too easy to put too much on sometimes!) It gives a more natural finish also.
DeleteIf you're looking for something more intense I would recommend a liquid one, particularly the Face of Australia :)
xx
Hehe I'm pleased to see this Jasmine, as it reassures me that I am normal with the amount of makeup I have collected over time! Lol! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Shadow Insurance yet - I love the Lip Insurance though. Would be keen to hear how SI is! :)
I'm envious of your Cherry Blossom powder - it was very hard to access that full collection here in ADL!
Haha that's good! I feel better too :P
DeleteThe lip insurance is pretty awesome, and let me tell you the Shadow Insurance is just as great! :D
That is quite a large collection.... :) Out of all your concealers, which would you most recommend?
ReplyDeleteI don't actually wear concealers very often, only for important events and such to give myself a better look, but my favourite is definitely the Covergirl Tru Conceal. For me it seems to give better coverage! :)
