New Lush Cosmetics Releases*

L1

If you're a fan of Lush, you may have noticed that they're releasing a few new products today! I was extremely lucky enough to be able to try out a few of these new goodies before the release date, so my review is just in time if you're not too sure what to buy. I was so excited when I opened this box of goodies - needless to say the smell was just amazing!

L2

Granny Takes A Dip Bath Bomb

This is absolutely huge, so I actually cut mine in half. This is half spice, half citrus and just smells delightful. This is less bubbly than majority of the bubble bars I've tried in the past, but that's definitely not a negative. Much like all the other bath bombs I've tried from Lush, it was amazingly relaxing and very soothing on my skin. I would definitely buy this one again.

The Granny Takes A Dip Bath Bomb costs $6.75 and you can purchase it here.

L3

Parsley Porridge Soap and Mangificent Soap

My favourite out of the two soaps was the Mangificent soap. With an invigorating mixture of mango, lemon and neroli, this soap really wakes me up. I've found some Lush soaps don't lather up all that much, but this one lathers up incredibly well. The Parsley Porridge soap was interesting. This one smells a little more earthy, as it contains tea tree, aloe gel and thyme. It's also anti bacterial so perfect for your face as well. I decided to use this when I was having pretty bad breakouts due to the hot weather, and found it actually worked pretty well to calm them down.

The Parsley Porridge Soap costs $6.95/100g and you can buy it here.
The Mangificent Soap costs $6.95/100g and you can buy it here.

D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap

I'm usually just a regular soap kind of gal. Shaving soap always seemed like something unnecessary. I tried D'Fluff and can now see why people opt for shaving soaps; they're delightful! This one was super smooth and soft and left my skin feeling amazing after a shave, even in the hot weather. Usually in the heat, my skin gets a little bit aggravated when I shave, but this really helped. Plus, it smells super yummy.

The D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap costs $18.95 and you can buy it here.

African Paradise Body Conditioner

When I first sniffed this body conditioner, I was not impressed. It wasn't exactly my favourite scent, but I thought I'd try it out anyway. Once I got into the shower, the entire scent changed. Upon actually using it, the real scents came alive. Shea butter and aloe gel to keep my skin incredibly soft, and a range of amazing fair trade products and oils. I was totally impressed to read that majority (if not all, someone correct me if I'm wrong here) were sourced from SLush funded projects in Africa. The mix of scents reminded me of something sweet and delicious. I was really impressed with this body conditioner, maybe more than any of the other products.

African Paradise Body Conditioner costs $37.50 and you can buy it here.

Zest Orange Medium to Strong Hold Hair Gelly

I was super skeptical when I first received this. I don't use any kind of hair gel so I wasn't sure how I'd try this out. I decided to give it a go just before washing my hair in case I didn't like it. Firstly, the scent is incredibly strong. I could even smell it after I washed it out of my hair for a little while, so I know that may be a deal breaker for some. Being that I haven't tried a lot of gels in my time, I can't really say for sure if it was "strong" hold. I tried this on keeping my fringe back and I felt I needed to use a lot of product to see any kind of result, but it did do a pretty good job.

Overall, I was very impressed with all the new releases I tried out. There are a few more products that I've seen released that I wouldn't mind trying. For a full list of their new releases, check out the Lush website here. I'm really happy to see more body products that aren't bath bombs, and a new hair product is pretty exciting too.

Have you tried out any of the new Lush products? If so, what are your thoughts? What are your most keen to try?
