A while ago, I picked up the Savvy by DB Perfect Pout Lipstick Kit from Priceline. This was on sale during the Christmas period, so I couldn't resist this gorgeous mini pack. I'm a big fan of discount brands, so I had high hopes for this one.
The packaging is super cute. Although they're only mini lipsticks, they still have the logo and the names printed on the bottom of the tube. They look professional, and I'm glad they went to so much detail.
Platform, Red Velvet, Petulant Plum, Berry Appealing, Icon, Bonfire, Riot, Flirty Flamingo, Nudie Run, Scared Scarlet
They even detailed the bottom of the tubes with the colour to match the shade of the lipstick. They also have adorable names. The packaging is actually fairly sturdy, especially for a miniature, so I feel they'd be mostly safe in my handbag.

I love the range of colours included. I was pretty pleased that they also included such a rich purple, as this is a colour often ignored in collections. I was really impressed with the quality of these lipsticks, they were extremely creamy and very pigmented. I also noticed a bit of a stain effect with some of the deeper colours, which is always a good thing. These lipsticks felt really nice on my lips as well, and didn't feel dry or anything like that.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the Savvy by DB Perfect Pout Lipstick Kit. Ten amazing colours, excellent pigmentation and great quality, this is definitely a collection worth picking up. Considering this was only $10 (and that was full price) this is very decent.
Have you tried the Savvy by DB Perfect Pout Lipstick Kit? If so, what are your thoughts? Which shade is your favourite?

ReplyDeleteI think I've only tried 1 or 2 products from the brand as their display in Priceline never seems to capture my eye but this set is such a great bargain! There are some really gorgeous shades in the set but then also some I wouldn't use but for $10, I think it'd be a great gift for lippie lovers!
ReplyDeleteOoooh these are super gorgeous. I pretty much want all the shades now *__* except purple hmm, I'm not too sure if I can pull of a purple lippy :P
ReplyDeleteSuch great colours for a budget brand. Good Pick

All shades are beautiful ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd picked this up when it came out!
ReplyDeleteI've a lipswatch fest on Youtube recently and these all look so good!! Very tempting for a budget product and I like the idea of minis because you actually have a chance of getting through them in a reasonable time too. I'd prefer a collection of mini lipsticks over a lip palette any day :-)
ReplyDeleteI recently caved in and bought a lippie from Savvy 'cause it's name after me, Mia! lol
ReplyDeleteI love that there are lots of dark lippies in that kit and I'll definitely go on hunting mode for this! Thanks for this great pose! Love the price too! :)
